Places to stay
If you are looking for a family-friendly hotel, you are in luck when traveling to The Algarve. ? There are a number of different accommodations that are perfectly suited for families, like Pine Cliffs and Martinhal. If you want something a little smaller, check out Anantara Vilamoura. Many families frequent these hotels, and you are sure to find people that both you and your children will enjoy interacting with. ????
Recreational activities
In Vilamoura, you’ll find the Family Golf Park, which is a great place for people of all ages to enjoy the game, no matter what time of year it is. ⛳️ There is plenty to look at around the course, as there are columns and pillars scattered around the property. When you are finished playing your game of golf, you’ll find an arcade to play in, a snack bar where you can grab some food and even a play area for young children. ?? But it is really the theming that takes center stage at the Family Golf Park. Designed to look like Ancient Rome, you are able to take in some truly fun sights while you enjoy a game of miniature golf. The landscaping is really amazing as well. There are birdhouses, water features, and of course, special obstacles for the players. You and your family are sure to enjoy your time at this location. ?
If you want a bit of a different theme, check out Adventure Golf Alvor. It is filled with dinosaurs! ? The course will give players of any age a bit of a challenge. In addition, there is also Quinta do Lago Mini Golf, where you can play on some of the best golf holes from other parts of the world – in miniature form, of course. ?
If you aren’t feeling up for golf, why not check out some of nature’s most amazing creatures! Go over to Mar Ilimitado at Sagres to see dolphins, sea turtles and more. ?? There are loads of different sorts of boat trips, many of the most enjoyable ones are from Albufeira. The marina, located in the old town, has numerous boating options and visitors can enjoy everything from a cave boat trip to parasailing to a boat party from the area – Algarve Fun covers a lot of the options here. ?
Places to eat
The Algarve has many different restaurants that are perfect for people of all ages. ? There are a few that really go above and beyond to welcome families, however. For example, Parrilla Natural and Wildfire Restaurant has a play area that includes toys, swings, slides and games. If that wasn’t enough, there is also face painting! ? If you are searching for a great play area, Bovino Steakhouse at Quinta do Lago is another option. You can also head over to BJ’s Oceanside, where there is a dress up area, or a beach restaurant because you can walk right out onto the sand when you are done eating. ?
